Robert L. (Bob) Stage
Manager, Technical Services
Schweizer Aircraft Corp.

For over 15 years, Bob has served as Manager of Technical Services for Schweizer Aircraft. As Technical Services Manager, Bob is responsible for all field technical support of the worldwide fleet of Hughes/Schweizer 269 series helicopters. He is also responsible for Schweizer’s factory Maintenance Training School and serves as Senior Instructor at the school.

Bob has over 35 years of experience in the helicopter industry as both a helicopter pilot and mechanic. He holds both an A&P license and commercial/flight instructor ratings in helicopters, with much of his maintenance and flight experience in Hughes/Schweizer 269 series helicopters. Prior to joining Schweizer, Bob had worked for over 13 years as a manager for one of the largest and most successful helicopter service centers in the United States.

Bob is eminently qualified to instruct in the operation and maintenance of the 269 series helicopters from several perspectives. First, from the technical perspective of Schweizer’s detailed engineering design and manufacturing specifications. Secondly, from the real world perspective of the field engineer or mechanic who must quickly and efficiently troubleshoot and fix problems on helicopters that often are operating in difficult environments on very tight operational schedules and budgets.

We are confident that both the novice and highly experienced mechanic will find Bob most helpful in providing new insights and information on field support of the 269 series helicopters; new knowledge that will help reduce associated maintenance costs and allow owners to operate their 269 series helicopters more safely, efficiently, and more cost effectively.
