To assure 269 Series Helicopter owners of the best maintenance and service possible, Schweizer
operates a factory training school for maintenance personnel. The Schweizer Maintenance Training
School provides complete training in maintenance, service and overhaul of all Schweizer Model 269
Series helicopters. Model 269C/269C-1 Maintenance Training classes are 2 weeks in duration providing
a total of 80 hours of classroom and practical participation. Transmission overhaul classes are 1
week in duration and provide a total of 40 hours of classroom and practical instruction. The Model
269D Maintenance Training Classes are 1 week in duration and carry a prerequisite of a Certificate
of Achievement from the Model 269C/269C-1 Maintenance School.
Classes are open to both domestic and foreign students. NOTE: Instruction is given in English only.
The maximum class size contains 12 trainees. Students have included Schweizer distributor personnel,
service center and operator maintenance personnel, sales personnel, government officials, and military
personnel from all over the world! All students receive individual instruction and practical experience
on the Schweizer Model 269 Series helicopters. A Training Manual, which is the textbook for each course,
and a personal guide to proper maintenance of the Schweizer 269 Series helicopters, is received by each
student. The school uses modern visual and mechanical aids, such as video tape recorders, slides,
viewgraphs, motion pictures, working mock-ups and cutaways of helicopter systems. A complete up-to-date
set of all Schweizer 269 Series Helicopter service publications is maintained at the school and used as
course reference material.
Model 269 Series service training is conducted by Schweizer Aircraft Corporation at Elmira, N.Y.

is NOT located at the Schweizer factory but at a location next to the Federal Express building adjacent
to the Elmira-Corning Regional Airport.
LOCATION: Elmira, New York, is located in the "Southern Tier" between Binghamton and Corning, approximately
250 miles west of New York City (5-6 hour drive).
For those driving, you will arrive via Interstate Route 17/86 which runs east and west across southern New
York State. You will exit the Interstate at Exit 51.
For those arriving by airline, the Elmira-Corning Regional Airport is serviced by US Air and Northwest
Airlines. Connections into the Elmira-Corning Regional Airport are available from Pittsburgh, New York,
Philadelphia, Newark (New Jersey), and Washington D.C.
Bus service is also available. Various bus companies make connections into Elmira, New York, from New
York City, Washington DC, Syracuse, Rochester, Buffalo (New York), and Newark (New Jersey).
