Pilot Transition/Recurrent Training Courses
To help provide Schweizer 269 Series Helicopter owners/operators with the best possible standardization and safety oriented pilot training, Schweizer Aircraft offers factory training for pilots.

The Schweizer Training Center provides initial transition training for the 300C, 300CBi, and 333 helicopters. The transition course for the 300C / 300CBi is 3.5 days in length and includes 10-hours of ground training and 5.0-hours of in-flight training. Initial transition training in the 333 is 5.0 days in length and includes 20-hours of ground training and 5.0 hours of in-flight training. These courses teach publications, systems indoctrination, preventative maintenance, performance planning, limitations, normal and emergency procedures.

Recurrent training programs are offered to maintain standardization and maximize operational safety. Attendance in the initial transition course is a prerequisite to enroll in a recurrent course. The recurrent course for the 300C / 300CBi is 1.0 day in length and includes 2.0-hours of ground training and 2.5-hours of in-flight training. Recurrent training in the 333 is 1.0 day in length and includes 2.0-hours of ground training and 2.5 hours of in-flight training. Recurrent training focuses on a review of material and procedures taught in the initial course, as well as a discussion of any product changes made by the manufacturer.

Currently, courses are taught in English and are open to domestic and international customers. A Spanish course is being developed and should be available in early 2005.

The Night Vision Operations Course is developed and should be released in mid-summer 2004. Customers that require the use of aided night flight should contact the Schweizer Training Center for more information.
